Where do I even start? If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. I almost didn’t want to write a review because nothing I say will truly do it justice.
Everything — the design, landscaping, architecture, and attention to detail — is absolutely breathtaking. The property is massive, with multiple living areas, restaurants, pools, and both indoor and outdoor seating spaces. It’s large enough that you see other guests, but it’s designed in a way that you always feel completely private, like you have your own secluded retreat.
You’re surrounded by roughly 4,000 hectares of lush greenery with constant views of the volcano from nearly every point on the property. The ranch itself is beautiful and absolutely worth visiting — you get to see the horses and animals, how they’re raised, and how everything operates. It’s all incredibly well done.
They organized our pickup and drop-off in an Escalade/Suburban, which already set the tone for the stay. The car was stocked with cookies, chips, and water. Throughout the property, there are always little snacks available — chips, fried plantains, tissues, and water — so you can grab something whenever you’d like.
The food is outstanding. Everything is organic and sourced directly from their ranch. They offer different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with daily specials. If there’s something you want that’s not on the menu, they’re more than happy to accommodate — and you can even request it ahead of time so the chef can prepare properly. I’m someone who only ever drank oat or soy milk, but after milking a cow and tasting the fresh milk, I was converted — I was drinking cow’s milk, eating all the ranch cheeses, and fully embracing everything they produce. You truly taste the quality and care in every dish.
The in-room dining experience is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. They don’t just wheel in a standard hotel cart. They set up a full wooden dining table with proper chairs, a tablecloth, and candles — it feels like a real restaurant experience inside your room. Since the rooms are massive, it works perfectly. Some nights, it’s incredibly cozy to light the fireplace and have a full dinner in your room.
The service goes above and beyond. They anticipate everything. You don’t even have to light the fireplace yourself — they come and do it for you. Anything you request, they make happen. The bartenders are great, the drinks are excellent, there’s a charming billiard room, a beautiful pool, and even a cozy TV room on the rooftop terrace. We were there during the Super Bowl and had the entire TV room to ourselves — we streamed the game, and they brought us snacks up there. They also have Starlink internet throughout the property, so the Wi-Fi speeds are excellent.
We did the hot air balloon experience, which was absolutely worth it, as well as the cow milking. We also went horseback riding — the trail is amazing. If you’re an experienced rider, make sure to let them know. The main trail doesn’t really allow for cantering, but they can take you to an open field if you’d like to ride at a faster pace. There’s also a lovely tennis court that guests can use for free.
The only small notes: the activities are quite expensive, and there can be a bit of a language barrier at times. While most staff speak English, not everyone is fully fluent, so occasionally things require clarification.
Truly a special, unforgettable place — more than a hotel, it’s an entire world you step into.
