Since I moved out to Newfoundland, I have had a chance to visit George St. 8 or 9 times thanks to a nice vacation from work. The Martini bar is a great spot to go to. The cocktails are unreal – the Blueberry Cocktail is a standout. Regular drinks are pretty affordable, and they have a mix of typical club tunes and live music. The live bands are always unreal, and I haven't had a bad experience here yet. It usually doesn't get too packed, and even when it does, its not too bad.

🔴Horrible and Unsafe Experience at Martini Bar🔴
I was at Martini Bar on Saturday night, October 25th, and witnessed something shocking. The bartender, a blonde woman, accused a man of not paying for his drink even though he showed her the bank transaction as proof. She ignored him completely. A couple of minutes later, around 4 or 5 people came in and violently attacked the man, who had been calm and respectful the whole time.
They grabbed his drink, choked him until he couldn’t breathe, kicked him in the back of the head, and threw him out of the bar. The man kept asking what he did wrong, and they couldn’t give any reason.
The bartender and the people who attacked him should be held responsible for this assault. It’s also unclear if those who attacked him were even security, as they weren’t wearing any uniforms or identification. This place is unsafe, unprofessional, and should be investigated.

I had a very bad and frightening experience at this bar. I paid for my drink with my card and have the transaction as proof, but the bartender wrongly accused me of not paying. Before I could even explain or show my proof, two minutes later I see ppl walking towards me and attacked me, I still don’t know if they are security or criminals
This ppl came over, took the drink out of my hand, then shocked till I couldn’t breathe and kicked me for no reason at all. I did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. I was in pain and completely shocked by how violent and unprofessional they were.
No one should ever be treated this way, especially after paying and being respectful. I have reported this assault to the police and hope no one else goes through something like this at this bar.
