If you run an event venue, there’s a good chance it already has a page on VenueKonnex — and you can claim it free in about five minutes. We have 15,022 published listings today. Planners are using them to shortlist rooms. The only question is whether the page says what you’d say.
Here’s what claiming costs, what to fix first, and what five live listings already do right.
What it costs: $0 up front
No setup fee. No monthly subscription. No paid placement. We take a small referral fee only when a lead we sent you actually books. No booking, no fee. The full breakdown is in how and when VenueKonnex gets paid.
Compare that to a directory that bills you every month whether a planner calls or not.
Why claim it instead of leaving it alone
An unclaimed page is a page somebody else wrote. It may have an old capacity, a missing price, or no word on whether you’re still open. We’ve seen what that costs. When we emailed 910 venues for real planner briefs, 7 turned out to be closed, renamed or mid-renovation. And only 8 of 44 venues that quoted a price said what it takes to hold the date.
Planners don’t wait around for the venue that’s unclear. They book the one that answered.
The 5-minute claim checklist
- Find your listing. Search your venue name on VenueKonnex and open the page.
- Request the claim. Use the claim link on the listing, or message us through the contact page and we’ll connect you.
- Fix the first sentence. Venue name, city, capacity, and one price fact. That line is what search engines and AI assistants quote. We cover the title and description fixes in the 3-line listing fix.
- Add a price or a clear “get quote” rule. Per hour, per person, or per event. Say which.
- Add at least ten photos. Real rooms, not renderings.
- State the booking terms. Deposit, hold policy, add-on fees.
What a complete listing looks like (5 live examples)
Every number below comes straight from the listing. Copy the pattern, not the wording.
- Sunken Gardens, St. Petersburg gives a capacity and a price in one line: gardens plus Garden Room package, up to 176 guests, $7,750 venue rental at 2026 rates. It also says it places no tentative holds — dates are secured by signed contract and payment. A planner knows the rule before emailing.
- Orlando Celebration Gardens prices by day-part: $500 for three hours Monday–Thursday, $1,500 Friday and Sunday for up to six hours, and $1,800 to $3,800 on Saturday. Every tier includes 120 chairs and 20 tables.
- LOFT39 in Midtown Manhattan lists its fee stack: $500 an hour venue fee, $50 an hour staffing, $250 flat cleaning. No surprise at invoice time.
- Refinery Rooftop publishes both tiers: $180++ per person for a 35–75 guest semi-private area, and a $20,000++ food and beverage minimum for a terrace buyout for 80–100 guests.
- Oxford Exchange in Tampa states the structure — room fee, food and beverage minimums, service fees — plus a capacity of up to 200 and that tours are available.
Notice what’s missing from all five: adjectives. Just capacity, price, rules.
What planners do with a listing like that
They compare. A planner sizing up a room wants to answer three questions fast: Does it fit my headcount? Can I afford it? What’s the catch? A listing that answers all three gets the inquiry. One that doesn’t gets skipped for the next tab. Want to see where your rates sit? The 2026 venue booking and cost guide has real per-hour and per-event ranges from live listings.
FAQ
Does it cost anything to claim my listing?
No. Listing and claiming are free. We only earn a referral fee when a lead we sent books.
Do I have to change my prices?
No. You set your own pricing. Some venues build the fee into their rate card; others absorb it.
Will my contact details be public?
Planners reach you through VenueKonnex, not by a posted email or phone number.
What if my venue is closed or renamed?
Tell us. A one-line status keeps your page accurate and your future dates alive.
How long does it take?
About five minutes for the basics: name, capacity, one price fact, photos.
