My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of September. The hotel is beautiful. Very impressive. Make sure you walk around on the first and 2nd floors and explore all the little nooks and crannies. There's artwork throughout the hotel. The pool was great except there's absolutely no shade unless you rent a cabana. Given the sun and heat in SA, this was tough. The pool could do with at least a pergola or something in the non-cabana areas. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful down to the housekeeping woman who introduced herself to us when we got to our room after check-in and showed us how to ask for the room to be served. The porters and concierge people were also great. The food and drinks at the restaurant in the hotel were also phenomenal – we ate there twice! Would've eaten there again and again if we had more time. The location is also perfect to walk to The Alamo and the Riverwalk. Thank you St. Anthony's staff for a wonderful stay!

The St. Anthony Hotel in downtown San Antonio is a true one-of-a-kind experience. From the moment you walk into the grand lobby, you feel like you’ve stepped into another era—one where elegance, charm, and meticulous attention to detail define the space. The décor is some of the coolest I’ve seen anywhere: soaring ceilings, crystal chandeliers, historic art pieces, and furniture that feels curated rather than mass-produced. Every corner of the hotel has character, from the sweeping staircase to the quiet reading nooks tucked away near the lobby.

The rooms themselves are exceptionally spacious—many feel like suites, even if they aren’t technically called that. High ceilings, large windows, and vintage-inspired furnishings give them a sense of grandeur without sacrificing comfort. The bathrooms are generous in size as well, with thoughtful modern updates that blend seamlessly into the historic design.

Service throughout our stay was top-notch. Staff members were warm, professional, and seemed genuinely proud of the property. Whether it was the front desk accommodating an early check-in or the concierge offering smart, personal recommendations, everything was handled with care.

If you’re looking for a hotel that’s more than just a place to sleep—a place with history, beauty, and personality—The St. Anthony delivers in spades. Five stars all the way.

We loved our stay at the St Anthony. We have stayed in several of the downtown hotels and this is by far our favorite. Just enough away from the noise but a short walk. The service is top notch and our room was perfect! The housekeeping staff is wonderful and Henry our bellman was very hospitable and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in SA.
