I moved into 724 Lofts about 2 months ago and live in a Plan A apartment. I chose to live here (even though the apartments were unfinished when I signed) because I was very impressed by Solhem's other apartment complexes and was told by a friend that he loved Solhem management. My experience so far has been above expectation!
The Apartment: I work from home and always get so many compliments on my space during Zoom calls. It is a space I really feel at home in and is in the perfect location in North Loop (away from traffic yet so close to everything). The high ceilings and exposed brick are just wonderful. The layout overall is very thoughtful and makes great use of minimal square footage even though I chose the smallest floor plan. I've only heard my neighbors once when I was near the wall and they were really screaming at the tv during a sports game.
The Management: This is the best management I have had. Some examples:
1. Alex has always been quick to respond to my many questions.
2. There was an instance when I had a massive furniture order dropped off (on the wrong day and the delivery man refused to help me even bring it to front door) then Jack saw me struggling as he left work so he came to my rescue and helped me bring it into my apartment.
3. Chris, the maintenance man, is quick, thorough, and friendly.
The Amenities: All I wanted was a nice rooftop and gym. We have access to the rooftop at Borealis and both building gyms. The view on the rooftop is the best in North Loop. Grilling, using fresh herbs from the mini garden, and having the fire pit lit is so fun with friends.
Construction: I know there was issues with construction but this is not something I suspect will affect future residents nor did it personally affect me much so I don't have much to say here. The only issue I had was that there was a small gap in the bottom of my kitchen cabinets that my cat hid in which scared me. She eventually came out and I put her in my room for a day. Chris did come and cover it immediately. This sucked but I did set my expectations that there would be more issues than there ended up being because it's a brand new construction.
Parking: I wish there was indoor parking connected to 724 but I think it couldn't be added as 724 is a historic building. Parking is in Borealis and is kind of tight but not horrible. For me, this did not play much of a factor in my experience or decision to move in.
