Before gong cha opened in Nashville, I had to drive 4 hours to Atlanta for the nearest quality and authentic boba tea. Crazy right? I’m originally from the DC metropolitan area where there’s a strong Asian community, so quality boba tea shops are everywhere. So to say how much I missed boba tea when I moved to Nashville and how stoked I was when Gong cha announced their opening is quite the understatement. It’s nice that the teas are freshly brewed and I can taste the strong tea flavor in the drinks. My favorite drinks are the oolong milk teas and earl grey milk teas. But there are also variety of drinks available like smoothies, fruit teas, latte’s. The drinks are highly customizable from the toppings, sugar, and ice level, very accommodating for anyone’s palate. Besides the drinks, the bubble waffles are great bites to share with family and friends. Parking is super convenient with free 1-hour validation in the garage. There are also board games available you can play while sipping your boba and cute art wall to show off your art skills or just want to express how much you love Gong cha!

Such a great variety of options, and I love that the sugar level is customizable on everything. Tried the Matcha Lattes today, as well as a couple of fruit teas with basil seeds. All delicious. The matcha bubble waffle was yummy as well. Staff was super friendly. Parking was easy in the adjacent garage, and they do validate parking there so it was free for up to an hour.

Fun/friendly staff and delicious drinks! The egg waffles were cooked perfectly. (I was lucky to have gotten to try them out during their soft opening/training.)
Gong cha has been one of my favorite boba tea shops and I’m glad it has finally made its way to Nashville.
Looking forward to their grand opening!
