My husband and I just celebrated our wedding weekend here at the Founders Inn. Our families and guests kept telling and raving to us how beautiful the venue was, that the food was so delicious during the cocktail hour and reception, and that it was all around perfect. Brock and I loved how attentive and caring the entire staff was for our special weekend. We loved the spa- great service and incredible massages! We want to give a shout out to Krystinia for coordinating everything with us for months to make our special day and vision come true and a shout out to the entire staff and chefs- the food was absolutely delicious, the service was unmatched, and everyone was so friendly and excited for us, and welcoming! This venue was incredible!! Thank you for such a memorable weekend at your venue!

Founders Inn and spa is a wonderful place to stay. This is our second visit and it has been wonderful. The breakfast in the morning is amazing and the rooms are very spacious. We had exceptional customer service from Ivenia, she was a huge help 🙂

Our stay wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t amazing either. I expected better service and room quality. It’s not to say that service was rude or anything but it was frustrating to get room service.
This hotel is very pretty. Since it’s likely it was converted from the Regent University within the same area, it has some “colonial” architecture and nice interiors. The property is very nice with dog parks and good walking paths. Indoor and outdoor pools looked really nice. Landscaping was really nice too.
Breakfast is included and it’s free. Not really a large variety but it’s passable. Cafe staff was really nice.
The room we stayed in was pretty disappointing. We definitely had a more premium room. There was a mild smell of gas from the fireplace when we never touched it (the hotel engineer smelt it as well), the TV had really poor cable reception, and the shower almost floods the bathroom anytime you bathe.
We also had requested room service four times before someone finally cleaned our room and it was the only time they cleaned our room. I’m a little confused by the staff hierarchy here. Front desk told us that they were trying to reach the management of house cleaning to get someone over here? … What? We were also told that they couldn’t clean the room because they heard our dogs, which is understandable, but we told them a couple of times that they would be caged while we weren’t there. Not sure what’s going with cleaning service but that was a pretty annoying situation.
Simply put, we paid too much for our stay. I just think there’s not good communication between staff. Rooms should also be inspected from time to time.
