My family and I stayed here for 6 nights.

The rooms given were comfortable and spacious.

The breakfast buffet had allergens labelled for each dish which was nice to see as I could safely choose what to eat due to my intolerances. It would have been nice to have more gluten free noodle choices though. The chef was lovely and even prepared some pear syrup for my niece that had a cough. Sadly I didn't catch his name…

Luca and the other staff that greeted us in the morning were professional and polite.

The location was great, very close to Tianfu square and the nearby museums.

This was my first Ritz-Carlton experience and I would definitely choose to stay in other Ritz hotels after such a wonderful time.

Only downside was the cleaning lady that came into the room in the evening to give us some towels that she didn't replace during the cleaning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The service here is beyond outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect.
The dining experience was a major highlight. I had the opportunity to enjoy four meals at the hotel, and every single one was delicious, offering a perfect blend of flavors and presentation.
The facilities are also world-class. The swimming pool is stunning—a perfect place to relax—and the fitness center is well-equipped with everything needed for a great workout. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu. It defines true luxury.

Stayed here for 6 nights recently when visiting Chengdu for the League of Legends event. This was my first time at a Ritz.

    Rooms:
Pros – very nice and specious, with a nice view. I personally found them to have the feel of a high class hotel.

Cons- Centrally heated AC and locked windows meant that the room was too warm for comfort. And some of the applicances like the TV seemed a bit old.

Service: Very good, can't fault and does certainly add to the vibe of a luxury hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Several stand outs include the Marriot app concierge who was very helpful and responsive. And several of the door staff (e.g. Abid) who were very willing to help. We were also given an upgrade to a higher floor room upon request for gold status which was appreciated. They also accommodated our late check out request , which was again much appreciated.

Location: good, a bit of a walk from the closest MRT, but very central in Chengdu nonetheless and Didi was relatively cheap and easy to get around. And lots of places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

    Food:
Pros- we only ate at the Chinese restaurant with tasting menu. We found the ~700 RMB per couple menu to be awesome value. It was a lovely dining experience.

Cons- the price of water. We opted for still water, and while I assumed it was not free (assuming that complimentary water wasn't available?), I was somewhat shocked that it is charged at ~$27AUD per bottle of water. So we spent ~$55 on two bottles of water – accounting for roughly 1/3 of our bill which was a bit of a sour note.

Overall, it was a great stay and a fantastic experience staying here. It did feel like a standout and 5* stay. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
