It is the qing's palace before moving to forbiden city. It is a beautiful place which shows traditional china architecture. If you are not a chinese, You should buy ticket right after security check. ticker office is located in left side of main gate.

The history of this place is amazing. Next time I will definitely follow the guidance regarding how much time you could spend there. As I had other commitments I needed to rush through the rooms and buildings, still it was worth it. Remember to bring your passport with you, they will check it when buying a ticket. Plenty of cafes inside to have a rest. Avoid public holidays if possible as it gets really crowded.

Good to visit the same Qing palace as in Beijing, although is smaller but still huge, can easily spend half a day here, and as it as popular as the forbidden city in Beijing, here is less crowded, and in summer it is definitely more cooler as well. Alot of shops offer costumes and make up for photo taking.
