Far better than I had expected given how cheap the rent was. Tried to extend my booking for 2 more days after testing it out but sadly they were fully booked already. The plastic washrooms seems to be a recurring theme in Japan? Cool keys and locks with paper exchange at the entrance to avoid carrying/losing this heavy item.

Stayed here for a few nights in October 2014. Proximity to the old Palace gardens is great. I borrowed a hotel bicycle and cycled around Kyoto. Alongside the river is recommended. Furnishings rather dated in parts of the accomodation.

Elegant nice hotel with good location. Room was clean and breakfast had sufficient western and Japanese options to choose from. Little walk from nearest Subway station but not much troublesome if you don’t have too many baggage to carry. Overall great experience.
