What an amazing piece of Houston history! The Rice is a stunning building that beautifully blends its historic charm with modern living. Once a grand hotel, it’s now an upscale apartment complex with a unique character you can’t find anywhere else in the city.
I had the pleasure of touring the property recently, and I have to say—Angel was the absolute star of the tour. Her attention to detail was outstanding. She even spotted a minor issue during the walkthrough that I hadn’t noticed and immediately flagged it for management. It was impressive to see how quickly she took action to ensure everything was in top shape—a true professional who clearly cares about the experience and the property.
The loft-style units are truly impressive, especially the ones with exposed brick—they perfectly capture that urban-industrial vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming. It’s exactly the kind of space I could see myself living in. I’ll definitely be back when it’s time to make a move!

I absolutely love to visit at the Rice Apartments. The property is always very clean and well maintained, and every time I come here or have visitors, it feels welcoming. The manager and staff are truly awesome people—they’re professional, friendly, and always helpful.
If you’re looking for a great place to live, the Rice is definitely the property to be at. The location is a huge plus too: rental car services, stores, shops, and bars are all within walking distance, which makes everything so convenient.
I genuinely love it here and highly recommend it to anyone searching for a great place to call home.

We toured The Rice today with Destiny. She was so delightful and funny she made it a breeze. We enjoyed checking out all amenities and the wonderful conversation. The units are all unique and offer a different vibe. For those familiar with NYC it gives that type of vibe. The front desk staff is also very friendly and we even chatted with a resident of the apartment for the last 6 years. She raved about how well the apartment is maintained. All in all, this was a great apartment showing and a beautiful building.
