According to a caretaker, the Heritage Museum of former President Garcia has been closed since the first quarter of 2024. All the exhibits, collections, archives, are expected to be collected by National Museum Tagbilaran.

It is the house of former Philippine president Carlos P. Garcia that is now refurbished as a museum of his and his family's accoutrements and other memorabilia. The place is clean and organized, and the guide really knows the history and life of Garcia. I just wish its management does a better, more comprehensive archiving and preservation of the items in the museum, and perhaps conduct activities that would bring in more people to the museum, not just to oggle at old things but also to remind people—even the locals, not just tourists—of our rich history.

This museum once served as the house of Carlos P. Garcia, the 8th president of the Philippines who also hails from Bohol. A quick tour around the house will give you a glimpse of the life of the president. One may quickly guess what sort of hobby he is fun of basing on the large chess board located in the front yard and the number of trophies he had on that sport.

Entrance to the museum is free but there is a donation box available if you wish to help in the upkeep of the place. A cafeteria serving hot and cold beverages is located just beside the museum.
