Captain Steve Gutierrez, known professionally as Deadliest Kast Fishing, has been a fixture in the San Francisco Bay Area fishing scene since he was a young child. His journey began around the age of five, and by thirteen, he was operating fishing boats with his father. Steve gained experience as a deckhand on various San Francisco charter boats between 2013 and 2015, including Flash Sport Fishing and The Wild Wave, before starting his own private charter service in 2015. Additionally, he has served as a captain at the Mag Bay Lodge in Baja, Mexico, for the past four years.

Fishing has been Steve’s lifelong passion, nurtured from his early years alongside his father and grandfather. He developed a deep connection with the San Francisco Bay and other parts of the Northern California coast, targeting species such as salmon, striped bass, halibut, and the elusive white sturgeon over the past 36 years. This enduring enthusiasm and the thrill of fishing experiences have inspired him to become a charter captain. Today, Steve takes great pride in sharing his knowledge and passion with customers, helping them enjoy the same excitement and joy that has driven his own fishing adventures. His services are fully licensed and insured, with all fishing tackle provided. The price is roughly $250 per person, with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 people per trip.
