Grungy Greenwich village hole in the wall joint with a good sound system, very friendly staff and reasonable drink policy and prices. Saw guitar phenom Stanley Jordan reimagining what Hendrix would be doing if still alive. Good show and historic venue.

The Bitter End is the greatest venue of all time! The most legendary place I've ever been to! Not only is the music still absolutely incredible but the staff are so welcoming and helpful from the owner to the bartenders to the door men to the sound engineers. I have never encountered such a wonderful place in my life that brings such enjoyment in every aspect! You walk in and immediately feel at home. I highly recommend! A perfect place for every night and every occasion. And they serve food! Love the food.

It’s not really fair to be unbiased about my review here because my son’s band Toona played and it was just absolutely a phenomenal night. So much of that was the band playing with friends coming from all over but in reality is the venue was great. The drinks selection was pretty good and service was attentive when the show started. The sound system was excellent and the folks putting together the post-show recordings were very professional. Would recommend to see other shows there because it’s intimate and cozy with a good sound. You definitely want to book a table – it made a world of a difference.
