If you are looking for a small hiking trail that's has easy access, I recommend heading out to Alum Rock Park. Beautiful views of Silicon Valley. Easy walking. Parking can fill up but worth the trip! Happy Trails 🙂

My favorite local park especially during weekdays. I've been coming here for at least 30 years. If you come here on a weekend you better come early. Great views if you do the entire loop. Great for running as well. In summer the grass can get long in the less traveled trails and I have seem plenty of ticks out there. Lots of wildlife including birds and deer. You can see plenty of mushrooms popping out if you plan it right. The park is almost miserable in the summer though so pack plenty of water if you go during those times. My favorite is when it is raining since the park is almost empty and the creek is flowing well.
