It is fabulous! Historic house in a historic part of town. The suite was breathtaking. The free daily brunch was provided by the Bistro across brick paved street. Gaslighting lit the streets, giving a sense of nostalgia and romance. The house has a lower porch, lined with iron railings, chairs on the porch. The second floor has a veranda with the same railings and chairs along with a small table for eating or playing cards. There is no way to give all the things I loved, just visit their web page. It says so much more, and everything there is 100% accurate. Will go back again, and again.

The moment you step into Fort Conde Inn, you’re immersed in classic Southern charm. The atmosphere is warm, refined, and instantly makes you feel at home. Beautifully kept, peaceful, and thoughtfully hosted — a truly special place to stay in Mobile.
The hosts/staff went above and beyond, offering helpful local tips and making sure I felt at home throughout my visit. Whether you’re coming for a weekend getaway, a historic Mobile experience, or simply a peaceful retreat, Fort Conde Inn is exceptional.

Don't get me wrong, they have done a mostly lovely job of renovating and upkeeping the old buildings. But the location is terrible – there is so much noise – between the trains and cars it is impossible to sleep. We were in the brick house next to the main building, whilst its lovely and the bed comfortable – the bathroom is a disaster and you can't access the balcony without going through the bathroom.
Then there is the 'breakfast' – this is a Bed&Breakfast apparently – except, breakfast is served in their restaurant/cafe, there is no choice, no substitutions, no juice, terrible coffee – if you want anything other than what they offer, you pay. This for me is a hard NO – Bed&Breakfast means breakfast, never have I seen this set up at a B&B. Overall I see the charm and why people might want to stay here, but the noise and surroundings just make it for me a don't go and wouldn't come back. Especially with the breakfast set up – our server was rude, dismissive and looked like she wished we hadn't have come in. Other guests had the same issues and questions with breakfast, so we were not alone in our disgust.
