The fairgrounds have a huge amount of different events throughout the year and every one of them that we have been to has been exceptionally fun! The prices are always high but the fairgrounds do not set these prices the people that are putting in the event have all the price control! We went to the circus here and had a blast! My only complaint is that the circus was inside so one would assume that it would be air conditioned…. But no it isn't and it was miserably hot!!

I go to the South Plains Fair every year and while the family is entertained and we keep going back, I'm slightly disappointed every time. It's very expensive to visit this fair and it doesn't have as much fun of an environment as other fairs I have been too in other places in the country, but it's something to do. To be completely fair in my review, I find everything other than the visiting amusement park area to be pretty good and great value for the entrance price, but the rides and games will drain your wallet so fast unless you are there on a wrist band day. I really like the scheduled shows throughout the day and the animal areas the most when visiting this fair.
