Cowherds delivered early for Christmas!
Came for a meal with the family and was greeted with great service and great food. Across the board everyone’s food was good, including my unique take on a prawn cocktail which I highly recommend. And the profiteroles, I could have ordered another 2 portions they were that good.
Service for Sophie was amazing, super attentive to our tables needs and dietary needs!
Regarding dietary though is my only concern, at least on the festive menu. A member of our party is gluten intolerant so having 5/6 starters having bread without any alternative gluten free breads or options available feels fairly limiting. Everything else was great but I thought it needed to be brought up
Overall, a great experience great food and highly recommend to anyone looking for a good place to eat with amazing service in Southampton!

Utterly surprised that many UK pubs serve delicious food, and The Cowherds is one of them. Been coming here for the last two years, we always have a good time. I highly recommend their appetisers, side dishes, and desserts. I’m from the Far East Asia… happy to discover many good restos and pubs in the UK.

I am not kidding when i give 5 stars to food service and atmosphere. These guys know how to set a vibe, menu and provide a homely service. The food is to die for fish is a must try. Cocktails on point. Went here for my graduation celebration and a once on a random night. I was well fed and looked after. This place is true gem away from the crowds and noise. Pure class act ♥️✨
