Excellent venue for acoustic music. The sound quality was superb. Wheelchair accessible ramp or 4 steps to enter. Limited parking. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful

Before you read my review please note that the St Andrew’s Church has its own car park in Crown Street (don’t make the mistake of struggling to find parking especially if you have a disability)
The Church was built in 1869, designed in the Decorated Gothic style by the prominent Victorian architect George Edmund Street A B. Over the years, it has seen several additions:
• 1900: Choir vestry added
• 1925: North aisle built as a First World War memorial
• 1949–1953: Chancel refurbishment and northeast chapel completed
• 1960s: Church rooms added
It’s now also a vibrant arts venue, hosting performances alongside its ecclesiastical role.
