The Mill at Ironworks Plaza is an amazing place to call home. The community is beautiful, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, and the location truly can’t be beat. From the apartments themselves to the shared spaces, everything feels modern, clean, and welcoming.

The management and maintenance teams genuinely care about the residents and take pride in the community. Issues are addressed quickly, communication is clear, and there’s a strong sense that feedback is taken seriously. You can tell a lot of effort goes into creating a positive living experience here.

As with any large community, you may see an occasional negative review—but it’s important to take those with a grain of salt. The overwhelming majority of residents leave positive feedback and truly love living here. Most complaints tend to come from people who are upset about individual situations rather than the overall quality of the property or team.

If you’re looking for a vibrant, well-run community with a great atmosphere, The Mill at Ironworks Plaza is absolutely worth it.

    UPDATE AT BOTTOM!!
Don't make the same MISTAKE I made when choosing a place to live. I got caught up with The Mill's location, modern look, and amenities. Move-in day I REALIZED THINGS ARE NOT WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE….
The apartment was dirty when moving in, thought maybe an oversight, until I noticed another couple moving in a few doors down with all their stuff in the hallway. Was told it was their move in day too, and they had been spending hours cleaning their apartment . The apartments themselves are cheaply construction, my sink came out of the center island the first week there. My air conditioning stopped working multiple times, the shower leaked just to name a few of the issues.

If you don't like dogs, this IS NOT the place for you. There are many restricted breeds living there. I lived on the 4th floor, the carpets are covered with endless urine stains. The hall temperatures were mostly kept lower, otherwise the smell of dog piss was overwhelming. The Mill did attempt to mask the problem by having the carpets cleaned twice in the 2 1/2 years I was there.

Cleanliness is NOT a priority. They do make an attempt to keep the main entrace area nice, after that it ends. The halls have random trash lying in them and may get vacuumed every week or two. The garbage chutes tend to be overflowing especially on the weekends and smell up the place. Piles of garbage, used boxes, etc will be thrown out by the elevators and be there for days. It looks awful and tacky, but never stops. The vestibules are full of urine stains and garbage, smell and rarely are cleaned….

Don't be fooled by their claims of being a secure location. The gate in the parking garage has it's issues and is randomly left open. Even with the gate closed, they have issues with multple car break ins. It's typical YOU WILL FIND HOMELESS people sleeping in the stairways and vestibules at night and early mornings….

If you enjoy spending time at the pool, prepare to be disappointed. The water is typically ice cold even though they advertise it's heated. The pool itself has blackish mold on the inside walls and steps. The pool can be closed for days during the warmest part of the summer, because the water has FAILED it's test and they are waiting to get the approval that it's safe to use again.

Don't be startled when the ear piercing fire alarms go off and strob lights begin flashing in your apartment. This can last for what feels like an eternity. This happened numerous times while I lived there. The fire department will eventually show up and turn it off….

If you do decide to live there, PROTECT YOURSELF by taking videos and numerous pictures of the apartment on move-in and move-out days. They will keep your deposit and attempt to give you additional frivolous charges. The office staff may be nice to your face during your time there, but they are NOT your friends…..

I did meet many great people living there and lasting friends. Sadly most of them have had similar or worse experiences….

***UPDATE*** Is it just me, or if you are truly sorry, wouldn't you reach out and try to make things right instead of replying with the same cookie cutter response to all your negative reviews. It's odd, but all negative reviews are followed up instantly with a new 5 star review from someone who has never left a review before?? PLUS Why would you attempt to block or hide my review unless you know it's 100% TRUE …. Thanks for confirming everything!!
