Lovely cosy stay in quiet location 🙂
Stayed overnight with my partner in room overlooking front of pub. Room 7?
    • • Excellent quiet location. Cosy and tastefully furnished & decorated. Lovely big room and powerful shower. Spacious eating area. Delicious breakfast including the vegetarian one. Excellent evening meals and choice. Good driving distance to Utilita Arena where we had booked to go to a concert.
    • • Nothing to improve on. If there was anything we needed to raise, it was acted upon by the staff straight away and efficiently. They were approachable and friendly, and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better service and courteousness during our stay. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Bell in Tanworth-in-Arden, and it was a thoroughly delightful experience.

Starting with lunch, I ordered the bacon, brie and chutney baguette with fries. The flavours were spot on: smoky, melting brie paired with sweet and tangy chutney, all tucked into a crisp baguette. The fries were golden and perfectly seasoned—simple, but done absolutely right.

For dinner, I went with the special: pork belly. It was a standout dish—not just for its tenderness and depth of flavour, but especially for the croquettes that accompanied it. In fact, they might have been the most amazing croquettes I’ve ever had: crunchy on the outside, creamy and richly flavoured within. They elevated the whole meal.

The dining room is very comfortable, a lovely space to relax in. One small caveat: the pub sits directly opposite a church, and the bell-ringing is quite charming—but loud. That said, after a little while, it becomes part of the atmosphere rather than a distraction.

Service throughout both meals was excellent—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows.

Overall, I would 100% recommend The Bell. It offers excellent food, a warm and comfortable setting, attentive service—and enough character to make the experience special.

Nice pub in a lovely little village. They have a weekday lunch menu which is not expensive and very tasty. Would recommend if you’re in the area.
