Greenway is Agatha Christie's former holiday home, situated on the east bank of the River Dart amongst lush gardens.
The elegant Georgian house, finished in white, houses a 1950s interior, with many artefacts from Agatha Christie's personal collection on display.
Outside, the grounds include neat walled gardens, beautifully restored greenhouses, a fernery and woodland. At the southern end of the garden there are superb views over the Dart and Kingswear. Paths are well signposted and there are accessible and more challenging routes.
A highlight is the boathouse, featured in the Poirot mystery "Dead Man's Folly". This riverside spot has good views over the Dart to Dittisham. Displays inside tell the story of the Poirot mysteries and filming at Greenway.
An 18th century gun battery is another interesting feature of the grounds, with seating overlooking the river.
On-site facilities are good, with a café, gift shop, pre-owned bookshop, toilets and parking. Parking required pre-booking and was limited to a maximum stay of 3 hours, but this was plenty of time to fully explore the property. Dogs are allowed everywhere on site except the house.
Adult tickets were £17.00 at the time of our visit, representing reasonable value for money, and it's a must see for fans of Agatha Christie.

A thoroughly lovely experience, even if you've never read an Agatha Christie Novel, you'll enjoy the trip around the large grounds and house; however, access is difficult unless you book ahead of time.
We parked about a mile up the road which, as hikers, added to the enjoyment, but was only possible owing to the quieter day we visited on.

Booked the car park, as advised on the website. Lovely property and grounds with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Amazing house with very personal details/memorabilia that brings you closer to Agatha Christie and many of the characters in her novels. Very inspiring and interesting. We loved our visit.
