I am in the Jump Start Program at BAS and the classes there are very interesting and fun! Not only do we learn about the materials we use, we experiment… Instead of learning basics we tackle abstract concepts… The students were very welcoming, never in a long time have I felt truly connected with a huge group of people without feeling left out.

Buffalo Arts Studio (BAS) currently hosts a diverse group of approximately 30 artists in residence. These artists are selected based on their creative practice, commitment to the community, and their reflection of regional demographics. Artists at BAS have access to a range of facilities, including a ceramics studio, communal workspace, and a kitchen, and they benefit from affordable studio spaces designed to support their ongoing work. The studio also encourages artists to participate in their Annual Studio Artists Show, serve as teaching artists, and engage in collaborative community projects.
