Smaller than expected but clean and information-rich exhibits. Lots of taxidermy, live critters and even some Dino fossils and activities for the kiddos. A perfect stop if you need a quick cheap getaway with the kids. There’s also a small nature trail (not paved and muddy if wet) and pond with plenty of trees and shade for a picnic. Plenty of parking.
We plan on returning for new exhibits in a couple weeks!

We had a wonderful time at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. Our group included our 2 year old son. He loved seeing the dinosaur and train exhibits. We spend a lot of time in the Discovery Room seeing all of the animals and interacting with the children’s activities. It was a perfect rainy day family activity.

Great place to take the kids. Inexpensive to visit. We always pack a lunch and have a picnic before going in . There's some short nature trails outside.
