While enjoying the fall colors and the history Lynchburg has to offer, we decided to stay and dine at the Virginian downtown Lynchburg. This truly was a great experience. We thought the hotel was very nice and service was good, but we were really blown away by the rooftop restaurant/bar Skyline. It was a great place to enjoy a gourmet meal and some great wine. You have to try the mac and cheese and the key lime pie. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Although it was windy that night, we were still able to sneak out and enjoy the views and the fire pit. We also got to see a marriage proposal, which was pretty cool. Definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant for its uniqueness.

If you are looking to get married in Lynchburg I’m telling you run don’t walk to get married at the Virginian!
I live in the DC area now but originally from Lynchburg and I was so happy to see the growth in the cities downtown that we decided to get married there. We picked the venue in May 2024 and got married November 2025. Our point of contact Shelby, Sales Manager, was amazing from day one! Wedding planning can be stressful but Shelby’s organization and calm/kind demeanor made the process so much easier. Also the venue offers a package that is hard to beat; no rentals to worry about, chair/table set up, and food.
Also, the FOOD!!! Absolutely amazing, the chicken and salmon were cooked perfectly which is not an easy task with the size of our 100+ wedding. The amount of food and quality you get for cocktail hour is incredible. Our guest did not go home hungry that is for sure! The service was impeccable as well, food came out in a perfectly timely manner with no one having to wait for plates.
Since my wedding I have had many guest tell me it’s one of the best weddings they have ever been to! Thank you so much Virginian for making that possible.

My family and I recently stayed at the Virginian. Johnathan was very helpful in giving us suggestions on things to do and see around the area. In fact he also fixed our tv and coffee maker for us. I would say that Johnathan went above and beyond to help us out with his amazing customer service and because of him we will definitely be back again.
