It’s filled with lush gardens, wide walking paths, fountains, and plenty of open space for relaxing or picnicking. The park’s iconic tropical greenhouse is a must-see, featuring exotic plants and flowers year-round. There’s also a large playground, splash pad, and sports areas, making it perfect for families. Seasonal events like the Gage Park Festival of Lights and summer concerts bring it to life, but it’s peaceful and welcoming any time of year. Everything is clean, safe, and well-maintained, with free parking and public washrooms available. A perfect mix of nature, recreation, and community charm.

The gardens are well maintained, especially in spring and summer when the flowers are in full bloom. There’s plenty of space for walking, biking, or just sitting on a bench under the trees. The greenhouse is a highlight — peaceful, full of tropical plants, and worth visiting any time of year. Families often come here for picnics or to enjoy community events, and the park always feels safe and welcoming. It’s one of those places that reminds you how much nature can brighten up a city day.

The mum show was quite beautiful. This was my first time and it was lovely. We had a group with us … several in wheel chairs…and I must say the paths were wide and accessible and every one loved the under the sea theme. My group also really enjoy the scavenger hunt….it gives us a little something extra to do. Highly recommend.
