  • 5.0/5:

Kearsney Abbey is one of the best green spaces in Kent.

Beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife. (You can even purchase bird food from the cafe to feed the swans and ducks!)

It's always clean and tidy, plenty of quiet spots to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

There's some great signage around to learn the history of the area.

The café is reasonably priced and the choices of food and drink are lovely!

There's a car park with free parking for four hours, too, that's a rarity these days!

Kearsney Abbey Gardens absolutely spectacular park located in Dover. The park is absolutely magnificent on every level – it is very well cared for and is complete with walking bridges, park, benches, lakes, green space, playground, free parking, and a pavilion which overlook the water. In addition, there are ducks and swansthroughout, which adds to the beauty. I highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful gardens, river, lake and waterfalls. As an added bonus, it's free to park at the designated carpark for up to 4 hours: best get there early to be sure of a space!
The water is so clear that it's almost too tempting to jump in with the ducks, swans, gulls, and cootes who know these gorgeous surroundings as home. A lovely place for a stroll and a picnic. Read the full review at,,,
