A must-visit promenade in Old Québec! Dufferin Terrace offers some of the best views of the St. Lawrence River and the iconic Château Frontenac. The wooden boardwalk is perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Street performers, musicians, and artists often add to the lively atmosphere, and there are benches along the way to sit and enjoy the view. In winter, it transforms into a charming snowy walkway with a toboggan slide nearby!

A perfect spot for photos, people-watching, or simply soaking in the charm of Old Québec.

A must-visit spot in Quebec City! Dufferin Terrace offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and the iconic Château Frontenac. During the winter, don’t miss the historic 1884 toboggan slides — a fun experience for all ages. There’s a small kiosk on-site where you can grab a coffee, hot chocolate, or some snacks, and buy tickets for the slides (only $5 per person). It’s the perfect place to enjoy the scenery, take great photos, and feel the charm of Old Quebec.

Governor General Dufferin's eponymous terrace has 'stepped up' as a favourite haunt for tourists and locals, offering a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city since its public debut in 1838.
For over a hundred years, this wooden promenade has been the heartbeat of entertainment – hosting musicians and street performers in the summer and transforming into a snowy playground for the fearless toboggan enthusiasts come winter.
Dufferin Terrace is the crown jewel of observation spots, offering a regal view of the Château Frontenac, the St. Lawrence River, and the surrounding landscape.
