There seems to be a lot of negative reviews about marking turn around times, no one getting back to you and the costs. I am enrolled in the BhSc on line program can have nothing put good things to say. I have never had an issue with any of the advisors taking too long to answer my questions. Yes, it did take a bit at first because they had to assess all my prior leaning. The costs (at least for Canadians) is really reasonable compared to other Universities I looked at. If I had any delays in my assignments being returned, I simply reached out directly to the prof and it would usually be returned the next day. The only issue I am having (and it has nothing really to do with TRU) is the final exam process. I always have difficulties with the online proctoring company they use. But I also could choose not to do it online, but I find the online more convenient.

Have been trying to get registered for about a month and a half, nobody answers and it really seems like anything to do with the open learning program is just set up as a scam. You can’t get through to anyone in the OLFinAid department don’t bother talking to anyone in student awards as it seems like they’re hired to know exactly how not to help their students and in fact make them hate the school. I haven’t even started yet and have had such an unbelievably difficult time just starting that I will most definitely be finishing my bachelors at a different institution as this one doesn’t seem to care about their students or their well-being.
Just an FYI if you look up requirements, deadlines, ect. Please take screen shots of all the information you come across on their website as their staff and website have completely different information.

This whole school feels like a cash grab. Some professors come across as incompetent and overly focused on authority, and it honestly feels like they go on power trips and fail students unfairly. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend attending TRU, and I don’t plan to take any more courses there.
There’s no way I failed the final exam. I felt completely comfortable with my answers while doing the multiple choice, so the result was surprising. What made it worse was that the first thing the instructor said was that I should register for his class again. I’m not willing to do that, and this feels like a money driven setup.
I understand universities are under financial pressure, especially with fewer international students due to federal limits on study permits. But that doesn’t justify failing students to make up revenue. TRU still has a responsibility to assess fairly and transparently. TRU is the Trump University of Canada.
