If you want to study in a true bilingual Canadian city wait no more and apply to this university. Very friendly and stress free compared to other big city universities. However it's a French university so be prepared for it. Great sports arenas and buildings. However if you want to stay in their rooms for your studies be prepared for, well smells. Good luck in your studies!!!

I have had a loan with UNI since 2021 and maintained a perfect payment history until September 2025, when I accidentally missed one payment. I contacted them immediately to make arrangements.
After that, my agreed payment schedule (one weekly payment) was changed without my authorization or written notice. Since then, multiple withdrawals have been taken from my account within the same week — including repeated $80 payments and additional amounts ranging from $125–$160.
These excessive withdrawals caused several NSF fees and significant financial stress. I have called multiple times to resolve the issue and to restore my original payment schedule, but it has not been corrected.
I have now had to submit a formal complaint and begin the escalation process.
I am very disappointed with how this has been handled, especially as a long-time customer who had never missed a payment prior to this.
