The Carlton is hands down the best bar and event venue in the area. From the moment you walk in, you’re blown away by the interior, yet somehow still manages to keep everything at really great value prices.

The cocktails are absolutely amazing — beautifully presented and expertly made every single time.

What really sets The Carlton apart though is how versatile the space is. With its different rooms, it’s perfect for all kinds of occasions. I’ve attended baby showers and engagement parties there, and I even hosted my mum’s 60th birthday at The Carlton — every single event has been seamless, memorable, and truly special.

The staff are all super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the manager Gareth in particular goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs perfectly. You can tell they genuinely care about creating the best experience possible.

If you’re looking for a stunning venue with incredible drinks, delicious food, fantastic value, and a team that makes every celebration feel effortless, The Carlton is the place to book. Highly, highly recommend!

We spent the afternoon/ evening at the Carlton a few weeks ago and had the most amazing time! We were in for a private party and were looked after the entire time by all the staff. We had so much privacy and anytime we requested anything from the staff (like music or lights changing) it was all delivered to us with no hassle! Such a fun atmosphere and a beautiful place to spend the evening celebrating – with great company and great food!!

I have not been in The Carlton for a few years and I am so glad I booked to have lunch there yesterday (15.11.25). We had the pizza and Prosecco combo which was excellent value and the pizza was delish. The 241 cocktail of the month was amazing and we met Gareth who made us feel very welcome – it’s always nice to see a smiling face. Thank you Gareth and team. We’ll definitely be back xxx
