I have stayed at the Vic many times over the past 2 years. It’s such a friendly pub and Sophie and Julie are amazing and look after me so well. It’s been tough being far from home but they’ve made every stay so lovely and they’re so welcoming and accommodating. I’ve stayed in probably all the rooms over this period and each one is so comfy, warm and well equipped. The beds are amazingly comfortable. Everything always works perfectly and all the lovely little touches are very welcomed. It’s also cost friendly and the pub always has a great atmosphere with friendly locals and lots of fun pub quizzes and music going on

Softest and most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! Nice linens (proper cotton).
Really clean room and lovely staff. Would stay here again.
Definitely be aware there is a pub below – we stayed on a Friday – but the noise was quite comforting – people were having a good time and it was lovely to hear, definitely a plus if you like a pint before bed!

Went to the little Vic pub to have a drink with friends and see Grant Matthews. The pub is excellent and you are given service with a smile from the bar staff. The only down side is the car park is quite small although there is no street parking close by, and the pub is quite small and it gets busy when Grant plays. Had an excellent night though
