So, an admission up front- not my first choice for an excursion. But my husband was keen so I tagged along. And it was so worth it! There is a huge variety of railway stock and forestry machinery on display, a lot of which is open to explore. The accompanying info boards are succinct yet comprehensive.
The staff we encountered were highly knowledgeable, and were keen to share information and answer questions. It was clear that the museum is a work of love for many dedicated volunteer enthusiasts.
As foreign visitors, we learnt so much about the development of the rail and forestry industries in Canada.
Take a picnic- there are plenty of tables in the grounds- and indulge your inner child for half a day. Play with the model train set and sit in the driver’s seat of some of the engines….
    A fabulous visit.

Took a tour while visiting family, we had a blast! It was nice to be able to walk through some of the rail cars while learning the history of each one. The staff were friendly and had a lot of great information when I asked some questions! If I'm ever in PG again I'll be back!

Not only do they have wonderful decorations/activities for different holidays. They also have amazing staff. I lost my dark green glove (which was a Christmas gift) whiler riding on the mini train. I didn't think there was any use to mention it but for some reason I did. They noted down my number. However, I didn't have much hope in getting it back as it was snowy. Almost the next day, I receive a phone call saying they found it. I told the person twas calling that it might be take some time for me to come because of the terrible weather, but they assured me they would keep it safe. Today, I went and got it back.

Thank you to the wonderful employees at the museum!
