We had such a wonderful experience at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The place is beautifully maintained and surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. It feels very natural and peaceful, not like a typical zoo.

It was amazing to see Alaska’s animals up close — moose, bears, bison and others — while knowing that this center rescues and cares for injured and orphaned wildlife. You can really feel that the animals are respected and well taken care of.

The staff were friendly and the entire area is very clean and easy to explore. It’s also a great place for photos because the landscapes are absolutely stunning.

If you are visiting Alaska, this place is definitely worth stopping at. It gives you a unique opportunity to experience the wildlife of Alaska in a beautiful and responsible way.

My family had a wonderful time enjoying all the wildlife and beautiful views in the area! The older gentleman in the store was very informative about the animals and super kind with our "shy" 5 year old! We got to see a ton of animals we don't normally get to see, because we don't live in Alaska! Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area!

I’ve always loved this place — not only as somewhere to bring out-of-town guests, but also for a fun day trip with my daughter and her friends. The mission behind the center is truly meaningful, and I really appreciate that the animals are kept in large, natural, and humane enclosures. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and clearly care about the work they do. It’s a wonderful experience every time we visit!
