The best food we've had during our 27 days touring the island top to bottom. This place exemplifies what is possible from a Filipino owned business, when the owners actually care about their customers full experience. First, the food. We had the Tuna Belly and Chicken curry with garlic rice, the tuna was better than my previous favorite (Kuya J's) and the chicken dish had actual chicken meat, not chicken bones with a tiny bit of meat on it. Everything was delicious 😋 and you'd expect this quality of food, served in this lovely and very clean waterfront restaurant would be expensive, but no, its very reasonable. In fact, we paid more for ribs that were mostly fat at Rib Shack in the mall than we did for the chicken curry which was a nice sized portion to share. The restrooms are very nice and spotlessly clean too. No dogs running around your feet, or in and out of the kitchen like some restaurants, oh, and real cloth napkins! Service was impeccable, well dressed and friendly staff, (spoke English) and you can tell that they were trained properly to be true hospitality service workers. I met one of the owners and had a nice chat too. He obviously cares about every little aspect of his restaurant. After 27 days of eating at lack luster Filipino owned restaurants, we no longer accept the excuses that come with lame food and service. My advice to all Filipino restaurant owners is to come here, look how its done, and go back to your restaurant and do your best to copy Badjao.

It's location is somewhat hidden because of the roads leading to it but you can find it easily. The food is great. We had sweet & sour lapu lapu, grilled blue marlin and clam soup. They are all good. The atmosphere is ok and it's elevated by the sea side. Plenty of parking. Service is good. Price is ok.
