I recently stayed at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and it was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel screamed luxury and relaxation. The location is unbeatable – nestled right on a private beach with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and easy access to Old San Juan’s historic charm. The grounds are lush and tropical, with swaying palms, a beautiful lagoon, and plenty of spots to unwind. It’s the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience, making it ideal for both romantic getaways and family vacations.
But what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive. Special shoutout to Hiram Avila at the pool bar – he was an absolute superstar! Hiram’s energy and expertise made every visit to the bar a highlight. He crafted the most delicious cocktails with flair, recommended local favorites that hit the spot, and always had a smile and great conversation ready. His service was impeccable, turning ordinary poolside lounging into unforgettable moments. If you’re staying here, seek him out – he’s the best!
The amenities are top-notch too, with multiple pools, a spa, and dining options that cater to every taste. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return. Caribe Hilton, you’ve set the bar high! Highly recommend for anyone seeking a slice of paradise.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Caribe Hilton! The staff was extremely professional and very pleasant. Chris at the front desk gave us loads of recommendations for our stay and was very helpful. The beach and views were beautiful, and pool area was nice with excellent & attentive serving staff. I can't recall our servers name but he was great and made sure we were good. The bar and live entertainment was entertaining! Our room on the 10th floor had a great view and was very nice and spacious. I gave 4-stars for tge room because it was FREEZING! We were unable to adjust to warm it up and called down for help. The operator said that only maintenance would be able to adjust it. I was surprised about that since I'd not experienced that at a Hilton hotel but okay. The gentleman from maintenance came up and helped to make us comfortable. They even sent up another blanket. The other not-so-good issue was the ice maker on the floor wasn't working. If we wanted ice we'd have to go down to the bar for it. Other than that, great staff, great property, great time!!

There were many problem areas and would not stay again.

Room: We stayed in a King suite and the room was desperately in need of updates. The faucet in the bathtub had a gap from the wall of about 1 inch. The "garden view" was the back of a wall, dirt, and a couple of trees. When we opened the sofa bed for our daughter there was wet urine on the mattress which meant no one had checked or changed the sheets on the sofa bed. The staff came and changed the bed immediately but nothing else was offered. Not what I expected for an expensive suite stay and if discovered on our first night we likely would have left but it didn't feel worth leaving with only 1 night left of our stay.

Food and Drinks: The food at the pool was was good. We especially enjoyed the nachos with pork. That said, it took nearly 45 minutes to get nachos at the pool and at the interior bar. Alcoholic drinks were weak and expensive. This hotel is home of the Pina Colada and they were also weak and nothing special to them. We ate at Morton's Steakhouse spending about $400 for 5 people which was not nearly good enough for the price. Steak not seasoned well and the Lobster Mac and Cheese was inedible. Tasted as if the lobster was cooked a week ago.

Beach: Very nice sandy and calm beach but half the chairs had broken pieces and the service was non existent.

Pool: Plenty of seating but the pool itself is in need of replastering and appears dated. Also sat around in the afternoon for nearly 2 hours and had only 1 waitstaff come by to offer drink service.

Lobby: The main lobby and bar is beautiful. Staff was nice and helpful.

Location: Very convienient location to Old San Juan. Less than $10 for an Uber to most anywhere in the area. Nearby Balneario del Escambron beach is beautiful and great for snorkeling.
