Listen, I came to Carlsbad Village for the beach, but I’m pretty sure I’ve been permanently converted into a human chia seed after discovering Choice Juicery.

Let me paint you a picture: You’re lounging on their artificial grass outdoor seating (yes, GRASS, because apparently sitting on regular furniture is so 2010), sunshine warming your face, sipping a cold-pressed juice that’s so organic it probably knows the name of the farmer who grew it. This is the Carlsbad Village experience I didn’t know I needed.

I ordered the Avatar smoothie bowl because I too want to connect with nature and look as good as a blue alien, and OH MY GOODNESS. The granola was crunchy, the fruit was fresh, and I suddenly understood why everyone in the reviews sounds like they’ve achieved enlightenment. One reviewer said they wanted to spend their morning with “a book, the beach, and a smoothie bowl” and honestly? Goals. That person gets it.

The staff has that “vibrant energy” everyone mentions – they’re not just making smoothies, they’re conducting a symphony of superfoods. They let me sample things. They returned my glass bottle for credit. They made me feel like I was making the best life choices, which I was, because I was literally at a place called CHOICE.
Is it weird that I’m emotionally attached to a juice bar? Maybe. Do I care? Absolutely not. The outdoor vibe is chef’s kiss perfection – prime people-watching in the heart of the village, fresh ocean breeze, and the knowledge that everything I’m consuming is organic, plant-based, and probably reversing my terrible life decisions from last weekend.

If you’re in Carlsbad and don’t stop here, are you even really living? The answer is no. Go forth and get your açaí bowl. Your body will thank you, your Instagram will thank you, and that little voice in your head that says “maybe just one more burger” will finally quiet down.
TL;DR: Come for the cold-pressed juice, stay for the outdoor bliss, leave feeling like a wellness influencer. 11/10 would juice again. 🥬🌞​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A great place to enjoy a nice, quick bite to eat, smoothie, or bowls. Our 2 meals, the Macho Taco Salad and the Coconut Bakon Cobb Salad were very good, filling and reasonably priced at $11 and $12. We also ordered 2 different smoothies: Mint Chip and Orange Dreamsicle. We would easily revisit those place next time we are in the area! A nice sitting area outside to enjoy their food!
