I went to the best café in Darlington called Café JJ's. It's a community café, all the food is homemade and there's plenty of choice along with a specials board and desserts – hard to resist as all of the food is delicious. It's only on a Tuesday 11.30am – 1pm. Go early if you want to be served as it gets very busy.

We went to a community cafe that is held in the main hall, every Tuesday 11.30am – 1pm and it is the most reasonably priced cafe in the whole of Darlington with fantastic staff to welcome anyone. A wide range of homemade starters, lunches (my fave is jacket potato with tuna & salad and they have the best pudding/desserts ever! My fave is apple crumble & custard. You can get a lunch for about £3 and desert for about £2.70. Go early though as it is always busy☺.

Really nice place, there is a cafe, cafe JJ they sell lovely home cooked food. Rooms to hire for party's etc easily accessible for wheelchairs and push chairs, this is a bright and airy venue. If you are feeling the need for spiritual contemplation there is also a beautiful, bright and light church, Saint Columba's attached in the same building.
