1st time at the MACC – We were not expecting the Blue Marigold to be as good as it was. We had a lovely time watching that play + the museum itself is beautiful. We meet Diana Silva there too!! She is one of the artists that has her art displayed there.

Tge Free Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC) ribbon cutting and official opening was attended by the Mayor of El Paso, members of the City Council, the Director of the MACC, the MACC staff, the architects, the construction crew, planners, advocates, the Grey Wolf Warrior Society, along with a loot of proud Borderland residents. The MACC sits acknowledges and honors the fact that it sits on Indigenous land. There were music and dance teams to help celebrate. The Cultural Center celebrates the borderland people, struggles, survival, strength, resilience, culture and overall genuine kindness of our people who live here. It has an auditorium, dance studio, culinary area, art work, and a terrace on the third floor. You will be able to learn a variety of things:

The dance studio will teach different styles of dances which you are able to partake in.

The culinary kitchen will teach cooking lessons.

The art exhibits of Hispanic artists and artists the exhibit the Mexican American culture will be exhibited on about a 3 to 6 month rotation, depending on the hall presented for education, interpretation, understanding and perspective all and one 😀.

We all can visit and enjoy the MACC at no cost to the visitor.

    Lllloooonnnngggg over due.
