Super satisfied with their food, and I absolutely loved their halo-halo. Although the ice isn’t as finely crushed as those from popular halo-halo spots, it gives a nostalgic, old-school feel that makes the experience even more special.

I found the food here to be unremarkable; it was just okay, with no notable dishes. Even their halo-halo was similar to that of Chowking. Note that the queue is very long, requiring you to wait outside, so be sure to factor in plenty of waiting time.

We visited Halo Halo de Iloko for lunch, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I rarely write bad reviews. Parking was chaotic with no staff to assist, and we waited an hour just for a table. The same person at reception was taking orders in a huge restaurant, and the reception was unmanned about half the time. Many people were waiting, and my dad was in a wheelchair, which made the wait even harder.

The restaurant was clearly severely understaffed. Our food took 1.5 hours to arrive, despite multiple complaints and reminders to the manager. At one point, there was literally nothing being served, and you could see people falling asleep while waiting. Only one table seemed to be eating. At the one-hour mark, the only thing we received was water.

Appetizer options were very limited, only fries and okoy. Many drinks were unavailable during lunch hours as well.
The food itself was a mixed bag:
    • Okoy – average
    • Kambing sa Buko – really good
    • Sisig – okay but a bit mushy
    • Bakareta – okay, slightly too sweet

The staff were friendly and clearly trying, but the staff-to-customer ratio was way off. This is a large restaurant that seemed to be biting off more than it could handle. Overall, the food was not worth the long wait or the price.
