Lambermont

Built in 1894, Lambermont was the home of Edwin Holland Terrell, a prominent lawyer and Ambassador to Belgium under President Benjamin Harrison. Inspired by European castles, Terrell commissioned architect Alfred Giles to design the mansion as a “castle for his bride” and their six children, naming it “Lambermont” in honor of his business associate, Baron Augusta Lambermont. After Terrell’s death in 1910, the mansion passed through several owners and was purchased by Pat and Dona Liston in 2008. Designed by Giles, a renowned architect known for his work on courthouses and homes across Texas, Lambermont remains a striking example of European castle-inspired architecture in the heart of Texas.
