I’ve been here more than ten times, so this is coming from love—this place is almost perfect. The food is delicious, the ambiance is great, and the service is good (though it could be better). It’s one of my go-to spots.
That said, when prices climb this high, you start noticing the little things. Why does the iPad menu look ready to take orders but… doesn’t? Don’t worry, I’ll still tip—I just want efficiency. They’re quick and friendly when taking orders, but somehow harder to find when you’re ready for the bill. And the plates? Beautiful, but oddly hard to eat from.
Okay, complaints over. It’s still very good, still worth it, and still a favorite.
Final verdict: 4.5 stars (I’ll round it to 5 stars). Fantastic spot, slightly dramatic pricing, and yes… I’ll still be back.

Nice place for dinner and karaoke.
Came here for dinner and ended up doing karaoke as well. The food was solid — flavorful and not overly toned down. We ordered Maoxuewang, Stir-fried Double Crispy, Spicy Intestines, and Fengdu Spicy Chicken, and everything was well cooked.
The karaoke was a pleasant surprise. The song selection is very comprehensive with both Chinese and English songs, and the sound system is good. Overall, a fun spot for dates or small group gatherings.

Amazing food and great atmosphere! The dishes were full of authentic Sichuan flavor — spicy, rich, and beautifully presented. Loved the boiled beef, dan dan noodles, and eggplant. The grape martini was a fun surprise! Highly recommend Lantern Restaurant & Bar for anyone who enjoys bold, flavorful Chinese cuisine.
