Mt. Washington Tavern sits in one of Baltimore’s cutest pockets, and it was the perfect place to break a 40-hour fast. I started light with a Maryland crab soup that hit every note—rich, comforting, and exactly the kind of bowl you’re grateful for after two days without food. A gin soda followed, then a Chipotle-Lime Chicken rice bowl that had me quietly giving thanks for the simple blessing of eating again.

My friend ordered the short rib grilled cheese, and although I was dying for a bite, I stayed committed to easing back into food (she swears it was fantastic). Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy.

One suggestion: the Happy Hour seating rule is… unnecessary. We were first sat in the back room, only to be told Happy Hour didn’t apply there, and had to walk back to the front to switch tables. A small inconvenience, but a silly one. That said, my friend loved her Happy Hour margarita, so the drinks themselves get a pass.

Overall, great food, great service, and a place worth revisiting— just sort out that seating quirk. Thank you!

This review is going to cover a lot. Besides it being our favorite place for smash burger tacos, charm city punch, and seafood with excellent service and food! We also got married here last weekend! And my goodness did they deliver. The food was delicious, the place looked stunning, everything flowed nicely, and we even got that second floor deck vibe. The price is reasonable and they are flexible! Our guests were raving about it . We got the best sort of compliments- our photographer even said best wedding ever!! We had already paid them too 😂 from the bottom of our hearts we want to thank the staff, the owners, Holly for your ridiculous amazing decor, and especially Mary who made all the magic look seamlessly done. If you have any celebration please reach out they are the best!

Must visit! Best place in town! The Mt. Washington Tavern has an amazing atmosphere, delicious food, crafty cocktails, and superb staff. Sunday brunch is exceptional, and Cathy & Jason are so attentive and welcoming, along with all the staff and management. We continue to return because of them and the positive vibes. This place goes above and beyond. The second floor bar and outside terrace is phenomenal, especially with the cool fall football weather. Come out and support this local tavern!
