When l/we toured the Plantation it was pointed out there are 365 windows in the building. One for every day of the year. We also went down to the basement and visited a Great Grandma of the family who definitely spoke of being a Southern Bell. She was delightful.

Just read about fire. This is more than terrible to lose this historic home!Yes ,present the injustice of slavery, tell the honest truth but DO NOT WHITEWASH away history, (people, slavery, plantations).Nazi germany banned and burned books and paintings and tried to disappear the Jewish part of their history. If the past is erased then we have no history and will repeat it!
