I visited Odori Park at night, and it was a truly beautiful experience. The park looked even more magical with a large Christmas tree full of lights, creating a warm atmosphere in the cold air. The falling snow added to the scenery, making it feel like a dream.
The winter cold was clearly felt, but that was exactly what made the moment more special and enchanting. Odori Park at night is a perfect place for a peaceful walk, enjoying the lights and experiencing the true winter atmosphere of Japan.

Odori Park is such a beautiful and relaxing spot in the heart of Sapporo and definitely one of the must-visit places in the city. I was lucky enough to visit during the Christmas season and catch both the Christmas market and the light illuminations. During the day, the park is lively and bustling with many stalls and visitors, while at night the illuminations are stunning and create a magical atmosphere. The organizers even offer a free photo service, and you can look up and see the Sapporo TV Tower right above you.
The park itself is very well maintained, with wide walking paths, greenery, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Depending on the season, you can find flowers, festivals, or special events taking place here. It’s perfect for a peaceful stroll, people-watching, or taking photos, and absolutely worth visiting if you’re exploring Sapporo.
