I had my baby shower at the Old Rectory House Hotel, from the beginning the staff were very accommodating and super helpful. The Orangery is absolutely stunning which means you don’t necessarily need lots of decor to make it look beautiful.
We opted for afternoon tea and everything was delicious and plentiful. The drinks kept coming and we could not fault the service on the day!

What a fabulous house. Really a little hidden gem .Both inside and out side. It has 9 bedrooms .Suitable for any family party. Outside is so beautiful too.

We booked Old Rectory House for our wedding in December 2025. We cannot praise Ellie enough for her help with organising the perfect day. The venue is stunning and intimate and we lost count of how many comments we had on how beautiful both the house and outside areas were. Ellie was there to meet us when we arrived on the day and was instrumental in helping us set up the venue to how we wanted it. Every request was met positively and carried out above our expectations. The catering staff and food were fantastic and the bar staff on the day were amazing and were so professional and quick at serving our guests with big smiles on their faces. A big shout out also to the cleaning/housekeeping crew who packed everything away the following morning to take away with us, we did not have to lift a finger! The rooms were immaculate and everyone who was fortunate enough to stay loved their accommodation and a big plus was that all the rooms were ready for the guests much earlier than expected. I honestly cannot stress how perfect this venue is and the team, both visible and behind the scenes, worked so hard all day to make our wedding effortless and stress free for us – a massive thank you to you all. This really is a gem of a place and we cannot recommend it highly enough.
