A review for the Event Center after last week’s NIT game vs Loyola Chicago

I have been an SJSU student for five years and the only other times I went to the Event Center are for move in day and during elections.

It was my first time attending an SJSU basketball game. More proud that to be part of the first ever postseason game the Spartans have hosted. Got in for free as well due to free tix for the first 700 students! Thank you to the SJSU administration and athletics programs and their sponsors for that!

The atmosphere was great and while I sometimes hear from others and especially haters that the regular season games are not as full like other Mountain West schools do, the crowd that night was ROARING especially when SJSU tried to rally against Loyola in the last six minutes after being down by 15. It sucks to be NIT first round exits but Spartan pride, vibes, and how secure and clean the facility is makes me want to watch more Spartan basketball games before I graduate in Spring 2026! And looking forward to crowds as big and even bigger! GO SPARTANS!
