We started our visit with a lunch in the museum bistro which is a lovely airy place to eat and while away some time. There is also an informative display about the history of the Thonet chair.
We are from the Uk and were interested to hear that the Sarasota art museum was hosting an Art Deco posters exhibition. We love to visit the many wonderful art galleries when we visit Florida. The poster exhibition is vast and very informative. We enjoyed it immensely. Jude one of the curators made it extra special for us with her knowledge not only of the posters but the local area too.

An excellent facility, well worth a visit. When we visited an Art Deco poster exhibition was running which I highly recommend. Try the Bistro too, we had a wonderful lunch with great service.

Really neat rotating exhibits- be sure to check the website to see when they change! It is on the smaller side, but I like that because it gives me time to really enjoy each piece.
