We were walking around the city when I saw this beautiful building right here. I have always loved history so anything that looks outdated or old piques my interest. Plus, I am a huge fan of old architectural style too! So okay, I made some research about it and here's what I found out.

Silliman Hall is a key part of Silliman University because it showcases the school's rich history and stunning architecture. The hall functions as a museum, filled with artifacts and displays that tell the story of the university's growth and the area's cultural heritage.

Talking about it's architectural style, the hall is a notable example of Stick Style architecture, a form of American architecture that was prevalent in the late 19th century. This style is characterized by its "stickwork" design, which features overlaid board strips on the facade to showcase exposed timber frames. The building was constructed in the early 1900s and is one of the oldest structures on the university campus

In addition to its historical importance, Silliman Hall is a lively part of the university today. It hosts a variety of events, lectures, and exhibitions, making it a vibrant center for intellectual and cultural activities. The campus grounds, surrounded by lush greenery and a calm vibe, add to the overall experience, offering a peaceful escape from the busy city life.

One thing I regret though about being here was that, I didn't really get the chance to enter. I just took a photo from outside and that's it. Now that's something to look forward to, giving me more reasons to return to lovely Dumaguete!

Such a stunning architecture, rich in history and timeless beauty.
    ………..
We did not get to see the inside. We don't know if it's allowed or just closed at that time.

The most ideal place to visit.
Where people are respecting each other,
Where people can walked around the city without risk or endangerment.
    Where almost everything is affordable.
