Walking through Front Street and the Waterfront, we stumbled upon this local business that also stretches out their support to local artisans who have not yet promoted their art or their designs. Atrium 916 offers a unique space where creativity and community coalesce. By prioritizing sustainable and ethically-produced crafts, Atrium 916 promotes an array of unique products, from honey jars crafted by local beekeepers to intricately designed candles. This support enables artisans to thrive in a competitive market, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment within the local community. The gallery-style setting allows these creators to exhibit their work prominently, attracting art enthusiasts and everyday shoppers alike.

Local artisans at Atrium 916 benefit significantly from the gallery's dedication to sourcing materials locally. These vendors often collaborate with nearby farmers and producers to procure high-quality, sustainable resources. The fun fact is that the businesses who create these honey jars may work directly with beekeepers who utilize ethical beekeeping practices, ensuring the bees' welfare while producing exceptional honey. Similarly, candle makers often source beeswax or soy from regional suppliers, blending these with locally derived fragrances to create eco-friendly, artisanal candles without any chemicals. This approach not only supports the local economy but also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting materials from distant locations.

The symbiotic relationship between Atrium 916 and local artisans extends beyond mere retail support. The gallery frequently organizes workshops and networking events, enabling artisans to share skills, techniques, and business advice. This nurtures a collaborative environment where ideas flourish, and innovation is encouraged. By bridging the gap between creators and the community, Atrium 916 cultivates an appreciation for locally crafted goods, emphasizing the value of sustainability and cultural heritage. This commitment ensures that the artisans not only survive but thrive, contributing to a richer, more vibrant local culture. I’ll be sure to be back soon and buy more from them!

I love supporting small non profit businesses. We came here for the Mimosas and Art class they were offering and had the time of our lives!

A must visit! Such a wonderful mash up of brilliant artists and crafters items for purchase. This place deserves all the accolades. Bringing a place to life for not only the vision of the artists/crafters but for us to learn sustainability. The day we stopped a painting class was being put together but we unfortunately were catching the train home and couldn't attend. We will be watching for future events and will return. Thank you for having such a necessary place
